She Has Arrived

Wow. I seriously cannot believe that I am here... sitting... in Sydney Australia. Wow. The flight here was very nice. It was so smooth that there were times that I seriously forgot I was in the air. I was in the middle of the isle row, and to the right of me were two australian "blokes" who looked to be in their late twenties. They were pretty crabby.... haha... at one point during the flight apparently in my sleep my pillow had migrated a bit too close to him. He promptly let me know that it was, "really annoying". Hmm.... ok? The girl on the other side of me though was so so so nice!!! She was about 25 and from Canada. She was so friendly and joyful it was like I was meeting my big sister or dear friend for an adventure on the other side of the world. She and i giggled the whole way, told stories, slept, and got excited as we approached the landing. I want to thank so much the people that prayed for my plane companions, as she was most definatly a blessing from God (and also a christian...) I actually slept for the majority of the plane ride, which is unusual for me, but again, such a blessing.

I am staying with a girl named Jane who is so incredibly sweet. It has been very fun and amusing getting acquainted with the Aussi culture. They overtake cars after turning on their indicators... or they give way... on THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD. I have tried a few times to get in the wrong side of her car too already hehe. But she is very sweet and we visited a "shopping centere" (mall) and "bummed around" for a bit and went to movie session (the theater showings are called sessions) but yeah.. its been very fun.

Im missy everyone at home quite a bit.... and saying goodbye was very hard for me. This whole travelling around the world thing still seems quite surreal. I am getting excited a bit... but still the experience is new to me. I dont quite know what God has in store for me, but I have a feeling that there is going to be a lot of new and exciting adventures in store for me.

I love you all so so much and wish you could be here with me. I send my love to you all. Keep me in your prayers =)

I am going over to Jane's boyfriend's mom's house (who is chinese) and so I am going to get a genuine homecooked chinese meal tonight =) yummah. Im starting to get tired already so hopefully I will be awake for it haha.

Alright i should be going. We are eating lunch (chicken curry and rice.... the aisian culture seems to be similar to hispanic influence in California)

love you and miss you so so much!

Hi Emily,

It was so great to wake up this morning and "hear your voice" on your blog. I sure enjoy hearing your "heart song." What an incredible experience to journey with God on this amazing adventure.

We miss and love you,
