Another Dollar...Another Day

Hey everyone!!

Im sitting at the dinning room of the Connexions Staff Conference in Aus looking out over a beautiful saltwater lagoon. Its really quite lovely here, so many beautiful trees and shrubbery, and it smells beautiful. The conference center is deep in the heart of the Sydney "shire" (shay-ah) haha... or God's country.

The first day or so here I found myself often wondering what in the world I was doing at a staff conference when I am most definatly not part of staff (or even the organization they staff!!!) but I have met some friendly people and starting to feel a bit more like I fit in. Last night I made friends with the worship team and had a fun time swapping songs and telling funny stories.

The lingo here also never ceases to crack me up. Half the time I feel like everyone is speaking a totally different language. Its heaps different here mate!! I thought I had some of the aussi lingo down thanks to joss.... but it was only the tip of the iceburg. Im kinda sleepy right now but I will try to remember some for my next post.

Alright...cant think of much else to say. Miss you all heaps!

Love
em

Hey!!!!!!! Sounds like you're having a great time!!!I hope the food is good and the sleeping arrangements adequate!!!!All is well here. Dad and I went to Aptos for the weekend. Leasa was at Joce's, Brice at Nate's. The beach was warm and beautiful. Dad and I got our 10,000 steps a day on our long morning walks. We think and pray for you often. Love, Mom

The Shire is most definitely God's Country - its one of the most beautiful parts of this country I think. I may be biased, but oh well.
And I hate to break it to ya, but that wasn't a lagoon. That was a river - the Port Hacking river to be precise.
